Communications Manager [Finland]

You will own both Murata Finland’s internal and external communications and drive our employer branding and recruitment marketing activities together with HR. We work in a hybrid model with broad remote work possibilities. This is a permanent position and start date is negotiable.

You will have the chance to take our internal communication to the next level. We have created a roadmap for the development of our internal communication with our partner and you get to take it to implementation. You will also develop our media relations and take our media presence to a new level. As a Communications Manager, you lead Murata Finland’s communication strategy and activities independently with support from both internal and external partners. Your closest colleagues are internal partners who are professionals in human resources and wellbeing, marketing, office and facilities, and you can create new cooperation contacts. You also work closely with the management group and various other internal stakeholders depending on the tasks at hand. The external partners include consultants and media professionals.

Your work includes communication planning and content production for various purposes including presentations, announcements, blogs, social media posts etc. to be delivered across a variety of communications channels and forums. You lead projects independently, organize events smoothly and coordinate activities effectively with numerous stakeholders inside and outside the company. You are the editor-in-chief of our intranet.

What would we like you to be?

  • You need to be able to think on a strategic level, but also work hands on with various communication tasks.
  • Self-driven and able to work very independently
  • Excellent content production skills, both written and visual communication
  • Strong knowledge of social media tools
  • Strong understanding of modern communication practices and techniques
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interaction and networking skills
  • Excellent Finnish and English skills
  • Experience in InDesign/Photoshop and Sharepoint. Our intranet is on MS O365.
  • Academic degree in Communications, Journalism or other related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in the field of corporate communications

Some of the tasks that you would take

  • Drive our internal communications based on the set roadmap
  • Find suitable angles for media and pitch them, build media relations
  • Be the intranet Editor-in-Chief
  • Organize information sessions for our personnel
  • Drive our social media presence and build campaigns to support our recruitment and employer branding together with HR
  • Review and edit various communications materials
