Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

  • Undertake Local Compliance Representative ("LCR") responsibilities by implementing Compliance policy and procedures, ensuring an adequate understanding and compliance of all relevant regulations applicable to Financ
  • Establish appropriate operational controls based on risk assessments to ensure that both regulatory and Group requirements are fully met;
  • Coordinate Internal Audit projects within Finance, deliver specific requirement, detail work arrangement and timetable to relevant staff in time, recommend appropriate remedial actions and monitor execution status.
  • Ensure a smooth, efficient reconciliation & substantiation work flow set-up in operation with concern of financial control as well as business needs.
  • Prepare initial assessments and interpretations of upcoming regulations and expected impacts for HSBC;
  • Support regulatory change projects, assessments and interpretations of upcoming regulations and expected impacts for Finance
  • Support management to ensure that any queries or investigations are addressed appropriately on a timely basis
  • Support Finance training program, talent development, cultural changes, and maintain a healthy working environment within Finance.
  • Develop relationships with peers at the financial and Regulatory bodies, including FCA, BoE and PRA
  • Develop technical knowledge in financial and regulatory rules
  • Other Ad-hoc tasks assigned by Finance Operation Manager, Finance Controller and CFO.
Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Responsible for communicating regulatory and Group requirements to all FIN teams and to supervise the implementation in order to achieve a full compliance.
  • The incumbent looks after risk assessment, internal controls and internal audit projects in Finance. Efficient communication and training is important to achieve this. Apart from this, the jobholder is responsible for coordinating staff training and development.
  • The incumbent should have good knowledge on the financial regulatory framework within which the company operates, which include the following: CBIRC regulations, The PRC GAAP, Group Functional Instruction Manual (“FIM”).
  • To ensure that process end to end risk assessments are implemented to a high standard to minimize the finance operational risk exposure, and quickly identify areas of weakness, recommend and monitor the implementation of remedial action plans.
  • To keep pace of regulatory environmental changes, and to use common sense and conservative approach in interpreting the regulations.
  • The role holder should possesses good learning capability and judgment to deal with the constantly changing regulatory or policy environment within a short time.
  • Able to work in synergy with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, regulators and other internal parties.
