About the Company
Davidson Technology are currently supporting Department of Transport and Main Roads who are currently seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist for an initial 6-month contract with 12 month extension.

This role will commence ASAP and will be located across Carseldine, CBD and work from home sites.

About the Role
In this role, you will develop and implement ICT sourcing strategies on behalf of the Registration and Licencing Modernisation Program in line with government policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply innovative thinking to procurement strategy development to support business outcomes while operating within the constraints of Whole of Government and departmental procurement frameworks.
  • Facilitate the assessment of procurement risk as an independent authority in relation to strategic ICT Project procurement.
  • Develop procurement strategies and documentation including procurement plans
  • Review and refine specifications to ensure that the business requirements are adequately defined.
  • Develop Invitation to Offer (ITO) documentation including evaluation plans in line with defined requirements in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Develop QITC contracts, agreeing essential components with key stakeholders ensuring the needs and objectives of the department are reflected in the contracts.
  • Undertake negotiation planning and negotiation of high value and high risk ICT contracts.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy, QITC, Contract Law and other legislative issues relating to ICT contracts.

About You
To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience undertaking ICT procurement and contract management within a public sector context.
  • Demonstrated high-level experience in the development and delivery of ICT sourcing and procurement strategies and in implementing effective systems and processes that support delivery of strategic business objectives and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of the Queensland Government Procurement Policy and associated procurement and contract management frameworks, guides and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of legislation, codes of practice, policies and procedures and the interpretation and application of contract law.

The Benefits
This opportunity offers you a contract opportunity till December 2023 with 12 months potential to extend at an hourly rate of $100 per day + Superannuation.

The client offers flexible working conditions split between work from home and their Carseldine and Mary Street office.
